Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Couples, Family, and Individual Therapist
Primarily a psychotherapeutic counselor
for the last 25 years, I am also a published author, present personal growth workshops, lecture at conferences and conduct professional supervision for my colleagues.
The MSW initial next to my name means I have a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work. The LCSW initial means I have been licensed by the state of New Jersey
to practice Clinical Social Work. The BCD initial means I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work, plus a minimum of 7,500 hours of post graduate clinical practice plus have had 3000 of these hours supervised and evaluated for counter transference issues (issue of my own that gets triggered by a client's issues).
The two New Jersey licenses I hold in Clinical Social Work and in Marriage and Family Counseling
means that I have had to adhere to specific educational and supervision requirements over and above my Masters Degree in Social Work by the state of New Jersey in order to practice legally in these categories.
